2025/26 Dwight McNeil

He’s a solid premier league player, his downfall is he has very little pace. He has a beautiful left peg tho. I think he’s best suited to the 10 role now - for me you have to have pace for the wider areas of the pitch.

He’s not good enough to displace Grealish Illy or KDH.

He has a role to play as a squad player, if he wants.

I’d keep him around, as the club moves forward others will be phased out too.
It’s not just pace, he wouldn’t be getting moves to the top 4 if had pace. His passing and decision making, all very average. On Saturday had he been scanning what was around him, he would have seen Beto in acres of space, instead he just played the ball where he was looking. He’s about 5th choice for the 10 role and I think that’s a position we need to strengthen in the summer as KDH should be further back. McNeil needs moving on asap, we can’t turn down an offer in Jan, just because it may leave us short for a few games. Some Teams will get desperate in January, so could work in our favour

Not advocating keeping him, if there’s an offer and it meets the clubs valuation then move him on.

He would need replacing however. Which is completely fine, just hope the club brings in wide players with pace. Would make a huge difference to this team.

Tyler Dibling I see more as a 10 eventually too.

Has done well for us, a decent player and we will make a profit on him if he leaves.
I don't think that will be until the end of the window because we need every body we have at present.
I think he will replace Ndiaye on the right for the next few weeks.
One problem with that, he’s looked atrocious on the right, when he’s played there, I know it’s a small sample size. But he’s going to consistently drift in field, being so one footed

Not sure we make a profit on him tbh.

Cross of the season 😂. You’re obviously fan mate, but he’s a bog standard prem
Player, he’s not good enough even as a bench option for a team that wants to kick on.

And this working hard and grafting for the shirt, is the biggest load of tosh I’ve ever heard. To use that as one of a players great traits is embarrassing. As Roy keane would say, as a pro footballer on 70k that’s should be a given.
It’s like employing a terrible electrician, but in the reviews you put his tools were nice .
I agree with the work rate being a no brainer. However i was replying to someone who said he was lazy which is nonsense. That cross imo was the best cross we have put in during open play. Beto should have buried it. Crosses are one of our weaknesses. I

He has been an important player for us the last few years scoring some crucial goals , be good for all party’s if we could recoup close to what we paid for him in January Leeds or maybe even Forrest to be stone colds spy in the camp maybe
