Disappointing it fell through, but things like this happen every window. Felt too good to be true, and was.

The real disappointment will be if Moyes continues to play him. The club have invested £40 million on Dibling and now have an option with George. They will make mistakes, they need to develop, but they need to be given the opportunity. Moyes playing a player in McNeil, who clearly has no long terms future at the club, over potentially exciting signings would be criminal.

Agreed, the best part of the deal is that he wouldn’t be available for selection.

Maybe in some weird way this motivates him, who knows.
