I'm not ignoring it. You are giving these clowns the benefit of the doubt on a McNeil replacement despite believing the full-back situation to be incompetence. These things are connected. I see no reason to disconnect them. If they cannot get a replacement for a player they sell late in the window, what were they doing for the last few months? Players almost inevitably move late in every window. If you refuse to do business early, these are the rules you agree to play by.

Let's see what our "competent professionals" can come up with...and I don't mean excuses.

Not keen in selling players and not replacing them. This is the arteta money scenario all over again. George is no replacement to mcneill no matter what people think about mcneill. If grealish wasnt injured, perhaps...now we need an "experienced" player in to replace him.

Don't imagine we'd pay more than £25/30m for Grealish.

George was the replacement for Grealish surely? We’re potentially losing 2 wingers and gaining 1 over the window.

While I agree with the general point, it is genuinely like playing with 10 men with McNeil currently. I don't say that lightly - he doesn't track runners, his pressing is half hearted and he offers very little going forward. So in that sense, I really don't mind it.

Not saying we don't still need strengthening in a general sense, obviously.

Normally I'd agree whole heartedly but Dwight has checked out mate, cut losses get what we can play George, play Aznou or play Armstrong there.
