I think he has some ability, as he's shown in previous seasons, however the issue is that his play is so one dimensional due to not having a right foot.

Due to this one-footed mentality, he plays what's in front of him and often ended up being forced across or backwards if a player showed him inside.

We all know most players have a preferred foot, but his reluctance to even take a touch on his right foot is not something Moyes is going to let slip.

if Myko is out and Aznou not quite trusted yet, is it a crazy idea to drop McNeil in at LB/LWB? I have vague memories of him filling in pretty competently a couple years ago when we were battered by injuries at the end of the season...

The main thing I dislike about McNeil is his body language. It absolutely stinks. Looks like he'd rather be anywhere else in the world but it is a position most of us would kill for. He trots around like he's in the park playing with a child. In the modern game, he is the opposite of what is required from a midfielder. Complete lack of energy that must wind his teammates up. Hopefully he is only a squad filler this season.
