He had a nice little spell 2nd half for 10 minutes, faded again and was subbed.

Definitely interested but I'd say maybe a little overwhelmed.

When he had the ball he got out of some tight spots and looked good. Maybe has to demand it a bit more and get on it though which to be fair he wasn’t given the most support

My thoughts were he looked good but he never really got on the ball much at all. I think you hit the nail on the head that he will be important for games where we have control

I don't think the way we set up yesterday played to his strengths which are crossing and running with the ball. We set up to defend and play on the counter. That's fine for Gordon and Gray who are pacy but with McNeil it isn't. We didn't have a target man to chuck crosses into which is likely why he was brought in so he wasn't going to look incredible. He did show some nice touches though and I think he'll be fine when he gets up to speed with the rest of the squad.

Cannot believe folks are turning on him already, get a bloody striker in who can hold the ball up to bring our midfielders into the game.
