Does a lot of work off the ball too, to protect full backs, which will be appreciated.

I saw he had 52 shots with 0 goals last season. If he has another 52 shots this year, I think he should be getting 4 or 5 goals, given the way he strikes a ball.
exactly. Last season was an outlier for both him and the eventually relegated Burnley, they just weren't at it. Previous 3 seasons he got between 7 and 9 G&A

That’s what’s funny on this site. You watch a guy over a few games and come to realise he’s awful. Lads then round on you and say it’s premature. He scores and they think it’s proof he’s wonderful. He’s not, he’s awful. One goal won’t change that fact
You saying he is awful after 431 minutes of football for us is equally as ridiculous as anybody saying he is wonderful just because he scored a goal. Not that I've seen anybody on here actually call him wonderful but I'll let that slide for now.

He's just 22 so still a boy in football terms and he's come to a new team with a lot of new players, and sometimes it takes time to adapt. It's fair to say that he hasn't had a great start with us but neither did Mykolenko or Patterson in fairness, two other young players. The jury is definitely still out on him but some of us are prepared to give him more time before writing him off. You seem to take exception to that for some reason.

The goal on Saturday was superbly taken and won us 2 points. If you can't give him some credit for that I don't know what to say really.

I think he needs time. He's only 22 and he's just made a step up, so of course it will take him a while to settle in. I see his future playing on the right crossing in in-swingers, with Paterson on the overlap - two great options to have. Plus, he took his goal great yesterday so more power to him.

Think a few of us are aware that it's his first goal in 56 games and it'll take more than just one goal to change opinion. He's been very poor this season (including first half yesterday), happy he scored and hope he can push on but there's very little - based on his previous year or two - to suggest he has the quality to do that.

Will be a useful squad player though, hopefully.
But maybe people could realise that he is a young player after coming to a new club who has just completed a season in a very poor team

The least you would expect with a new player in his circumstances is patience.
