I wish we had two McNeils. He is a greatly improved player and opponents are double marking him as a result.

Said the same in the Iwobi thread - if we had a right footed McNeil to play on the opposite side of midfield we’d be a better team. We ultimately want better but for the moment he suits our style and where we are.

I thought Dwight McNeil was a bit below par yesterday, as were many of the team. Expecting a far better showing against Fulham next Saturday.

United clearly realized he is top slow to threaten on the break and had the fullback push extremely high on his side as a result. At one point we switched across and they immediately just switched Malacia forward and had Wan-Bissaka deeper instead. That's a problem that won't ever go away even if not everyone is as bold as United with it. He doesn't scare anyone.
