Thought he may have played the ball back out wide to Iwobi(?) to let him fizz one into the box, to be honest.
tbf mate, from about 9 yards out, under no massive pressure and the ball on his left peg, I'd assume a PL winger would fancy wrapping their foot right through the ball and at least testing the durability of Allison's head and seeing if it was attached to his body.
It looked (to me) like he got caught in two minds between shooting and passing, and ended up doing what he did. You're right though, you would have expected him to make a fully committed decision to shoot and put his laces through the ball and see what their keeper had to offer.
