I agree, good balance, keeping the ball in tight situations. Vision, selflessness and positioning. I really don’t know how you measure those.

He’s been their best player any time I’ve watched them.

Experience battling relegation which could be very useful.

Experience being relegated (not just battling), along with half of the team (pickford, tarks, Godfrey, doucoure). Should hopefully give them all impetus for it not to happen again.

He's a good player mate, always the best player I've seen in a very defensive side.
His stats are hardly top tier but he's 22 with a lot of scope to improve.
I'm quietly happy with this one.

He does have a wicked left foot, one that could have relegated us had Cornet not missed an absolute sitter McNeil put on a plate for him.

The funny thing is we were generally buzzing off signing Ajax’s goal scoring captain but miserable about signing the relegated Villa midfielder

Make sense. Hardworking, good ball winner, able to hold the ball without constantly worrying about outpacing fullbacks on the flanks, likes long shot, enjoys Hollywood pass, able to dribble in tight spaces around the edge of the box.

I simply can’t see that many cutting edge if we play him as a winger, good crossing and that’s about it.

That just shows how stats can be mis interpreted, involvement could mean running into one of his own players . The meat and drink is the two that can win you games.

Nope, it means an assist or a goal.
