I will always love Duncan. Its a pretty innocuous thing this promotion but I am made up to have him on the bench for our games, its the closest thing to having him back on the pitch.
Whether you consider him a legend or not is your own thing and no one can say different. I swerve the term legend, I just loved him for being an occasionally ace centre forward who embodied the qualities I like in my Everton number nines.
The fact he shared my disdain for the other lot and bullied them at every chance just cemented it.

I loved it when he grabbed the Norwich player by the throat and threw Barns to the floor like a rag doll. I think he will do well for us -
The term 'he gets it' is overused, it should be reserved for people like Big Dunc. He really does.

This seems like a very astute bit of succession planning. It shows Roberto in a good light - he must be aware of Ferguson's status and popularity at Everton; he obviously doesn't care about the limelight being shared as long as it's the best thing for the club.
