Highly likely, they were struggling financially in the championship and he will be a big earner.

Lots of local noise directed at the board but one criticism of him was an unwillingness to play academy players. Whatever happens they will need to do more of that so another reason for him to be dispatched.

He took a pay cut.

Financially its a mess though with players out of contract not being contacted by the club to say what's happening. One player who made 400 appearances had his contract run out while he's been waiting for an operation for an injury picked up during playing for the club. ICT just sent a P45 and didn't confirm if they will pay for the op. Cost was raised by donations from players and fans. Shambles.
