I think that's kinda the point.

They were doomed, but it seems the owners (or new DoF) haven't seen enough to give them confidence he has the ability to guide them back up.

Dave is quite rightly pointing out that a large portion of the Everton support were champing at the bit to appoint a vastly underqualified Ferguson to manage the clown show that is Everton.

It's genuinely mental how blinded some are by that freak Chelsea game.

I mean, by all accounts it seems he was offered to. There’s a difference between being a good manager and a good coach though. Steve McLaren was an awful manager but is highly rated as a coach and went back to coaching.

Hopefully Forest Green fall out the main leagues next season. West Brom's only claim to fame was that we had been the highest ground in all 4 divisions since Football began till some smart Alec at Forest Green got some new fancy device to measure them and it seems they are slightly higher.
