for the Fulham game I expect Ross to drop deeper into a CM alongside Barry as McCarthy is suspended, with either Osman or Pienaar playing central and Del Boy moving onto the left.

He's just as much a box-to-box Centre-Mid as he is an attacking mid, mate.

It's what I'd do as well; especially because Fulham will expect Barkley to play where he did against Arsenal and base their whole strategy around that.

I thought he was quite effective bursting from deep when he played there for half a game (vs. liverpool i think)
for me osman is a bit lightweight for cm and won't do the same job mccarthy does.
also could move mirallas into a Central attacking role and keep pienaar on the left and del boy on the right

Barkley has the tools to play anywhere from the middle. If he plays deep then he can use his power to drive at defences yet if he plays number 10 he can use his strength to hold the ball up and bring players into play . Would like him to eventually play as a box to box mid . Something like this for next season if we get champions league

Unreal that is and if we did get champions league with that team we could maybe have a sustained place in the competion for the season after

He's just as much a box-to-box Centre-Mid as he is an attacking mid, mate.

He's a great player and would therefore play well in all kinds of positions. I just think he's too valuable to our new Martinez-led style of play in his "Number 10" role.

Also has to be said that he occasionally plays a loose pass - this happens when you are trying to prise open a defence and is an occupational hazard for an attacking player but dangerous in your own half of the field.

This would definitely be a good tactic to use against Fulham, Mirallas in behind Lukaku with Deulofeu on the right and Pienaar on the left. This is the type of game where our attacking players could fill their boots
