Is anyone furious with the amount of [Poor language removed] drivers on the road these days?

Your driving home from work, and some knobhead is doing 30 in a 50?

Anyone over 60 should have to take their test again imo (no offence and that).

So many [Poor language removed] drivers on the roads it makes me fume.

Oh and Scooters too make me furious.

it is still the maximum speed limit cal and not a required speed, same as it was the last time you was furious about it. think about if you hit a kid mate, and i mean a little kid, there would be nothing left of them, slow down and they have a chance. when you have kids your whole perspective of stuff like this will change.

Its almost as if you are in the car with me pretty much every night on my way home.

Same stretch of road every bloody night, leave Wroxham in a 40mph to join an A road with a 60mph limit. But do the buggers ever speed up? Very rarely, i swear pretty much every night they just poodle a long at 45mph max for no reason.

Pay attention and speed up you slow old gits.

Obviously in built up neighbour hoods you take care, but when on a main road? ffs

Im not too bothered about that, it doesnt happen to me much...

...The most annoying thing thats happened to me so far was Scals! I was driving home from town about 3am, and 2 or 3 scals decide to cycle down the wrong side of the road (on dock road)...honestly - could people get any more idiotic?

Back to the speed limit issue - its about safety. If the driver is comfortable with driving 30 rather than 50 then that is their choice, if the driver behind doesnt like it then he can just take over, otherwise just wait.

If people aren't confident or cannot deal with the road then just give up and stop driving IMO.

I'd rather they were doing 30 in a 50 than 50 in a 30. Speaking as someone who could quite easily have his life ended by one of the metallic death machines with revved up boy racers behind the wheel :)

Science has shown that you don't get anywhere any quicker by revving about, you just burn up fuel quicker and get to the next traffic jam that little bit sooner. Chill out and enjoy your drive a bit.

Of course I believe the average speed in London is 12mph so it doesn't tend to be an issue too much here but you continue to get douchebags in an awful hurry to get nowhere in particular and putting peoples lives at risk to do so.

It's more of a rural road and can create horrific traffic on this 50mph road.

I want to be home not stuck behind some knob doing 30 in a 50.

I'm absolutely furious here B.

Yeah, I don't know whether it's because I've became a more confident/aware/unforgiving driver but I notice far more terrible drivers now than I did when I 1st started driving. It's not just people who go far slower than the limit who annoy me, it's generally poor driving like people not paying enough attention to realise something is about to happen that I spot ages before & then having to take evasive action at the last minute, people not following basic highway code rules & things like that

I don't mind people being cautious drivers but people who are just bad annoy me, give your licence back & get off the road until you know how to drive on it you ****

Depends what you enjoy about driving. I enjoy accelerating, braking harshly, dropping a couple of gears, going around a corner & then accelerating up through the gears again. Slowly drifting along admiring the views that I've seen a thousand times before offers no appeal to me, I'd rather enjoy my drive a bit more & then get to the back of that traffic jam sooner.

I know that might make me sound like I drive like a prick but I don't, I just take advantage when I've got an empty road in front of me & if it means I have to spend a bit longer in traffic jams & refill my fuel tank that bit more often, it's something I'm happy to do

Sound to me like it is you who needs to re take your test.

Highway Code states 'the speed limit is the absolut maximum and does not mean it is safe to drive at that speed' it also says 'be considerate of other road users .... try to be understanding of other road users ... be patient .... do not allow yourself to be agitated'

I also think you need to spend a little time trying to understand what it is like to be older or less able than others. The world doesn't revolve around you, and thinking that people who are not up to your standards should just be removed is offensive. Grow up.

There are only two types of drivers -
the stupid old git in front of me and
the stupid fool trying to overtake me.

I, of course, am a perfect driver in every way.

Cal, you're right in some respects, there are a lot of people of all ages who don't have confidence and drive at a slower pace than others and do cause frustrations for other motorists.

Have you thought of doing the IAM (Institute of Advanced Motorists) course and test? It really is worth the effort and does save a little bit on insurance, though I'm so old and have been driving for over 35 years ithat it doesnt make any difference to my insurance.:(

What utter nonsense. As for other drivers, old gits shouldnt be allowed to drive as there a nuisance on the road and a potential hazard and flashpoint for other drivers. But for me the worse drivers on the road are Woman. I have yet to come across a decent woman driver, how they pass there test is beyond me
