I came across this lovely story from someone on the red echo site.

Dr David Marsh was not only a fantastic Evertonian , he was also our family doctor at the Henlow Avenue practice in Southdean Kirkby , I remember as my mother was at deaths door , a unexpected knock came on the door at 5.30 in the morning , it was Dr David , he was on his way to London but thought he would pop in to say hello , what a caring man a true gentleman , Gods gift to Medicine and Everton Fc used to love the banter with him

Rip Dr David loss of a giant of a man

He seemed to be a very good man, and he did his best as chairman of this club. That's all that anyone can do. RIP Dr Marsh.

Looks like he was a cracking amateur golfer as well which I didn't know about until last night

Dr Marsh was clearly a true gentleman in every sense. He lived a good life, God bless him. Another great Evertonian who will be missed. Condolences to his family and friends.
