what an amazing guy. i really had no idea about the man. i just thought he collected stuff off the internet. to help out gorden west like that and be involved in the former players foundation is all credit to the man.

I dont like anyone who tries to make money out of Everton, i am old fashioned like that

he gave all ex players top wack for their medals (quote: the amount they would have gone for if they were at sotherbys.. i never haggle a price with an ex player)... some he even bought off loan sharks while they were in the players houses! he did not rip anyone off. he got involved with the former players foundation and that is now the envy of ex players across europe.

he even turned down thousands of pounds from man united fans who wanted to buy their first ever program as newton heath so it could all be included in the everton collection.

i think this guy is great to put so much time into making a world class collection. the lottery grant has now secured it's place in the everton museum for future generations.

i'll paraphrase for you. he turned down far greater offers (that means lots more money) from private dealers because he wanted the collection to go to everton. everton raised 400k and the lottery came up with 400k.

combined with evertons own collection, to quote Christie's, "it's now the finest and most comprehensive collection of its type relating to a single football club".


so because of this man we now have the worlds premiere memorabilia collection and the worlds finest former players foundation.

but you still don't like him? you are starting to look silly and arrogant now.

Already seen the arguements thank you. You believe what you want, i believe he blackmailed the club into buying his collection back, you dont.
I also dont believe he had no intention of selling to any other bidders, he knew Everton would end up paying for it and they did. I dont believe his intentions were anything but financial incentive

As i said you can believe what you want, i believe he had no intention of ever selling to anyone else despite what the rumours of other bidders suggest. We were the only serious bidders for the whole 'collection'
As for the EFPf, to say he was the sole reason it existed is just silly, it was also inspired by granchester (Only decent thing he has done for the club) and Jon Woods (Everton director)
