That's not true though, is it, Pete - much as you'd wish it were that simple. He's a politician now and a really dangerous one, at that. All that claptrap about draining the pond and shaking things up is sounding rather hollow now, unless you count employing a weird mixture of Goldman Sachs and the Westboro Baptist Church as a progressive step for us all.

In a political context, he's far from a breath of fresh air - he's a walking disaster with bells on and the sooner you apologists stop embarrassing yourselves and accept the truth the better.

I'm not apologising for him, but he is not a politician. No politician outside of Russia would behave as he does. He is a businessman put into a politicians job. Politicians rarely make good businessmen, it looks like we will find out if it works the other way around.......

Are you at all alarmed or dismayed by his frankly shambolic administration so far?

Do you really not think these are extraordinary times, though? I genuinely doubt the legitimacy of his presidency, given the revelations of the last few weeks. And that's without even taking into account it's extraordinary assault on democracy and its contempt for the American people through its barefaced lying.
