Trump is an idiot who signed a two page document, which could not possibly contain all of the complexities required for such action. The substantive point being the idiocy that an 18 month old falls into the category of being included in the ban. Using the emotive 18 month old serves to highlight just how ridiculous it is.

The USA will sort itself out and doesn't need any condemnations from me. I thought the comments from Boris Johnson reflected most people's views on this matter. I have children and my daughters in law living in the USA, Saudi Arabia and the Philippines and have seen first hand what authoritarian governments can do. It's the world in which we live and unless it happens in the U.K. I can't get too excited about it. Theresa May gave a speech about not trying to make the world in the image of ourselves and perhaps we should let the Americans sort out their issues.....
