Complete horsewank. It's nothing to do with them. It's the wretched verbal diarrhoea that spews from his dog's arsehole of a mouth that's causing him to be shot at.
I doubt his diarrhoea helps but I think the issue, and it has been a long running one in the US, is the easy access to guns that mentally unstable people have - this guy seems to have history after all
If this is the guy... 22 years ago he was involved in a 3-hour standoff with police and charged with possession of a concealed weapon as well as a weapon of war (a fully automatic machine gun).

I'd ask how is it this guy, if he is the guy, has access to an AR or AK weapon but that'd be foolish.
Every president has had assassination attempt made on them. Gerald Ford had 2 in 17days!

But I did find the “He believed the rhetoric of Biden and Harris, and he acted on it. Their rhetoric is causing me to be shot at, when I am the one who is going to save the country, and they are the ones that are destroying the country — both from the inside and out.” particularly ironic. Along with the utter lack of reflection on what his own comments may have caused in Springfield.

If I was Harris' advisor, I would be telling her to go out tonight or at the very latest tomorrow and do a major speech about current political rhetoric - not saying us good and them bad, and not attacking Trump (or the right) for their speech but pointing to the very real damage to the fabric of the republic that is being done by overblown talk of this kind.

Talk about the two attacks on Trump, about the shooting up of the Pizzagate restaurant, about Kyle Rittenhouse being put in the position where he believed he had to travel with a gun and ended up shooting people, about the three Palestinian guys shot on the street for being Palestinian, about the female Air Force veteran who went to Jan 6th and got shot dead by cops trying to force a door, about Gabby Giffords and Steve Scalise.

Explain what is being put at risk, that the success of the US (especially in wartime) is down to everyone playing their part to the best of their ability and to help the country as a whole. That Americans - left and right - need to accept they might have different views but cannot see each other as the enemy. End by saying this is an election, that she does have big differences with Donald Trump but we are both Americans etc etc

Trump won't be able to resist a dig, but that dig will go down like cold sick.

Yes, they have. Sadly. Further, the elected loonies in support of the former guy will trot out the mental illness trope again despite knowing full well that same former guy is the one who essentially removed legal barriers for obtaining these weapons by the mentally ill.

As for the former guy not accepting responsibility for his actions that have negative consequences, when he accepts responsibility it will be a first.

Agree. Then after that I think they should start talking about how Trump won't last 4 years and voting for him is voting to put Vance in
