*hadn’t
I picked up 'Eats Shoots and Leaves' for €1 in a charity shop.

I have always been a pedant when it comes to proper punctuation and I look forward to reading this to eliminate any errors of which I may be unaware.

I use Oxford English in writing, including -ize rather than -ise in words such as 'realize', 'recognize', and 'organize'.

This is NOT an Americanism - in fact the American spelling is correct. British use of s apparently dates from the Napoleonic wars, and was motivated by a desire to spell words such as the above differently from the French, who then used z. Ironically modern French now uses s!!

Sharp posters may also notice that I use the Oxford comma!! 😀 Yes, I am a big fan of the character Morse!!

I get mildly irritated when shops, and market stalls in particular, place apostrophes incorrectly when writing a plural. 😎

e.g. apple's 25 cent. Shop assistant's required.

Doubt if Trump gives a hoot about this!

You must hate my posts, I missed punctuation and grammar week at school it seems. I’ve even corrected this one 3 times and it’s probably still wrong.

As for the ise rather than ize …… nah! My Word on my PC keeps trying to change it to the latter and I’m not having it, realise, recognise and organise all day for me!

Is there meant to be a comma after organise?
