It doesn't although as you say it is not particularly pleasant.

However multiple women then came forward to say that he HAD assaulted them.

i know legs, I wasn't trying to come across as sticking up for him, I was trying to make the point that accusations without proof are just accusations. It can turn into a which hunt. I know things like this are hard to prove and it happens all the time but it can also ruin reputations if people just take it as gospel. Have the claims been investigated?

Mate, seriously?
Of course some, many actually, women voted for him. Hell, my entire family bar one did.

That doesn't change the fact that many women and men find his statements about or to women repugnant and feel strongly enough about it to act.

I just wanted to point out that many women bare more weight on matters like Jobs, schooling, medicare and law and order rather political rhetoric that might sting a bit.

It is true that accusations are just accusations but in these types of cases it is very difficult to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt - there is rarely any physical evidence and they often boil down to one persons word against another. Which is one of several reasons why women often just try and drop the matter, especially if it only happens once.

Personally I found the People magazine writer's account very believable but then I also believed Juanita Broadrick.

I hope the DNC keep this up and start fighting tough.

Their hand-to-hand political combat has been horrible for years. They need to really sharpen their use of language. Cut out the big 50-cent words people don't understand and get a lot better at sound bites and slogans and scary-sounding names for things.

I did say it was hard to prove. To be honest I was hoping you would jump in I knew you would read what I was trying to say from different angles instead of replying with daft replies.

Oh I see, because I'm not a woman I'm not allowed to comment. I was actually trying (in my uncouth way) to say that women are not weak and are more than capable of looking after themselves. I was also saying the to conversion (Trump-bush)although crass and not very nice doesn't actually say he is assaulting the women. I read it as he was using his status. Which before I get jumped on I think is wrong.

Sexual assault has nothing to do with women being weak or their capabilies. You were the first person to bring that association to the discussion when you assumed that was the position of other posters, who said nothing of the sort, which says a lot about where your mindset is.

You showed your ignorance of the realities of being a victim of sexual assault by stating if reported a rich, powerful man would be arrested as if it was a simple forgone conclusion of how things would go.

And how exactly am I to "look after myself" when a man (or women) just grabs? Certainly I might be able to prevent further "liberties" but I've already been assaulted at that point.

Trump, "Stevie Wonder" ?
"No Sir he was not available"

"Paul MaCartney" ??
"No Sir he's on a vacation in the caribbean"

"Rolling Stones, Madonna, Bono, Springsteen" ???
"No, No, No, and yet again No Sir"

"God darn it boy. Barry from Eastenders"
"Yes Yes Sir we have him"

(Calls for Barry from Eastenders)
