The USA are profiting from the Ukraine war. Whether you can also interpret them as supporting Ukraine can also be true but they will be directly profiting from supporting them. It benefits biden in many different ways, it's debt to be owed, which they can take advantage of both now in steel and resources, and later down the line with any potential money (not full amount) that would be due to come back. It creates jobs in America in manufacturing which then reflects well on the president for, well creating jobs for his people. It also allows them to effectively replace their entire arms stockpile to newer and more effective weapons as they send the old stuff over to Europe.

The point I'm trying to make is that you can take the positives on face value in supporting them but at the same time America is also profiting and taking advantage of the situation for their own benefit. So trump shutting down aid for example isn't necessarily shutting down helping but it would negatively affect the American economy in the first instance. Whether there is something to replace that with I don't know but we wouldn't know that until after he won. Biden isn't a saint for rushing to Ukraine's aid, it's entirely beneficial to them which is why they do not support any country that needs help, they sell rockets to Israel for example. It's the way the world works, war economy, always will have it because someone will always profit.

Plus it is worth pointing out trump removing aid to Ukraine is pulling America out of a conflict they don't need to be involved in realistically , besides the big bad Russia scenario. Which is the opposite of the war mongering world war 3 president he is constantly made out to be.

I think it has always been somewhat like this. But never before in history have we had the wealth of tools, technology and information available to us to help us finally not be like this. And yet, here we are, getting dumber. It is as baffling as it is disappointing.

I blame facebook, the amount of facebook crap I have to field from my daughter is insane.

There is little doubt in my mind that social media has accelerated us to this point. It's allowed misinformation to flourish. For all the good that the ability to access (true) information has brought to the world, there is an offsetting negative impact of this.

We are seeing it every day, and it's getting worse
