Congratulations Donald Trump on your re-election as POTUS. His odds have went up massively. We'll see how the Biden campaign plays this. They are best to say nothing. That's very unlikely though. Too many second rate DEI hires in that campaign. They'll attempt to publicly gloat this out.

He's always, always, always been able to avoid truly serious consequences before this.

He's brittle. He's wounded. He's psychologically unstable. And he's TERRIFIED. He can't do time, even if he were sent to the minimum security tennis prisons that the feds have for white collar criminals. Unfortunately for him, New York State prisons are much worse. He can't even handle a cold courtroom without whining like a baby - how's he going to handle a prison shower?

He's going to continue decompensating, even faster than he already has been.

As far as the public - now that conviction is no longer abstract, the attraction of being publicly identified as one of this guy's fans is going to fade. He's a LOSER, and he will have the stink of LOSER on him.

I'm a New Yorker. He is not loved here, certain corners of the city aside. I'm sorry that my city foisted him on the world, but I'm glad we did the right thing today, as Winston Churchill said Americans will eventually do, after exhausting the alternatives.

On a serious note, his core support won't be affected, it'll just feed their delusions. But it will be their behaviour. If they carry on like the clips above, whining like children, then he won't be hurt. If they get violent like January 6th, could get Biden some much needed fresh support
