If he does get found guilty I wonder what will happen to him. He’s never going to go to a normal prison is he, he knows national secrets and is a blabber mouth. Plus he’d argue he is an obvious target for violence etc. I’d imagine the absolute worst that could happen would be him being put under house arrest.

I hope he goes to prison and green mile leaves his anus looking like a glazed donut. That would be true justice.
This would be a lot more believable if the lawmaker in question hadn’t been anonymous.

I think a very large proportion of them feel that way. They just know they can't say it in public.
And get elected in a GOP primary - possibly not.
But there are other ways of making a living where you can actually have some self respect and not enable someone you know is grossly unfit to be president.

True enough, but then you would be describing people who are not them.
I get that politics is generally a dirty business with very few having clean hands but there are some stinks that are just too extreme.
Whereas you might for instance be prepared to turn a blind eye to padding out of expense accounts or some extramarital affairs I think trying to overturn elections with threats/violence and storing national defense documents in a hotel ballroom is a whole different kettle of overripe fish.
