That's a bit harsh I think, orangutans are intelligent, gentle creatures, he's more of an orange bull-shark that's been half lobotomised by a speed boat and eaten a few too many fatty seals.

I doubt there's much he's not afraid of.
At any time in the last six months POTUS could have asked for $2000 from Senate Republicans if he had cared more about it than watching Lou Dobbs, it may well have improved his chances of being re-elected. Now looks like we are heading for a government shutdown which are never great at the best of times and these certainly aren’t those.

Section 230 is not a hill that anyone, especially Democrats, should die on.
Get rid of it - especially as it will hurt the right generally and Trump specifically far more than anyone else. The arguments for keeping things as they are must surely have been utterly disproved by now.

Trump's desire to steal the election have become so serious that now national security experts are discussing the possibility of him declaring martial law and what to do if he goes through it. While I know he is not going to get away with it, the notion of him talking about declaring martial is very dangerous because it normalizes such a blather and weakens our democracy. And one must not forget that democracies are fragile just by looking at what has happened in Syria

I haven’t done a great deal of reading about 230 but as I understand it places like GOT would effectively have to shut down because they could be liable to be sued for defamation by comments by users?

Very much so, if 230 goes there'll be very little left on the web apart from porn. I'm all for binning it.
Only for content they themselves produce. Getting rid of it would open them up to nuisance suits on their posters comments that they had zero involvement in, at least as I understand it
