Indeed, but *if* the guy was doing what he was accused of, then the international law over killing him is murky at best.

I'm not saying I agree with the concept of assassination... just that an arrest warrant for Trump clearly isn't going to go anywhere

Not really; international law is actually quite clear on it.

The murkiness comes because the US allows itself and some of its allies to do this without consequence; however were the Iranians (to use the most immediate example) were to pop a US general off it would be an act of war obvs.

He did so to try keep her career going.
