Current Affairs Donald Trump POS: Judgement cometh and that right soon

The thing about the 2020 election is it will be a purely in the moment election, in that it will turn on how people feel at the moment. Trump the chaos agent won in 2016 because he had the knack of keeping people on edge. Some who never voted, responded by voting for the first time. Some who always voted one party stayed home or switched to a third party in a moment of anger. Trump is a guy who likes chaos and seeks to create it in all of his endeavors.

In the moment, people act on instinct. That’s what Trump is betting on for his re-election this fall. If things are in total flux, his opponents are unable to get footing. More important, the voters are unable to settle into comfortable patterns. Riots, plague and economic devastation is maximum chaos. Voters may instinctively go with what appears to be the safe choice, but is just the familiar choice. More important, they will not be thinking about it, but rather acting on instinct.
110,000 dead (will be many more by then), mass protests in the streets, possible troop deployment on US soil...

I sincerely hope people do just go and vote for "what appears to be the safe choice" - because by no definition is that him.

They could also be acting on the loss of 45 million jobs, an uncontained pandemic, the deaths of hundreds of thousands of their own citizens through incompetence and the teargassing of their own population. You have to at least admit that is possible

Depends on who shows up and it depends on who counts the votes (Stalin nods.) Unless there is a blowout of at least 7+ pct. for either candidate, we will relive the joys of a contested post-election and claims of electoral frauds and illegitimacy. Put down your markers now, call your bookmaker.

Can you expand on that? The reason for their dislike seems pretty clear to me.
I think you understand perfectly. I have friends and family in the Episcopal Church, including a couple of priests, and I can't think of any of them who wouldn't want to see him frogmarched into a paddy wagon today. That church is attended by the core of DC movers and shakers with pretty much the same set of beliefs, only amplified by actual contact.

First, their historic church gets set on fire.

Then their historic church gets appropriated by the dark force of Trump.

What else can go wrong? Why is nothing working?

Chaos. Who does chaos benefit?

Can you give me some rep please.

so when you cast your vote, were you just angry at Hillary or were you going to vote red no matter what?
