Going completely off reservation even by his standards if he tried it. Though I would assume this is just bluster from his part.

The worrying thing is his trend towards the conspiratorial.
What are the chances, if he loses the next election, that he’ll call foul and claim the ballot has been interfered with and just outright refuse to leave office?
What then?

The secret service or armed forces will be only too happy to escort him from the premises, I would imagine.

His loony brigade would no doubt support him. He is without doubt the most dangerous man in the planet by a good distance.
Its actually pretty simple. If Biden doesn't outright win the election with the electorates because some states decided not to vote (but the second wave! NOBODY could have seen THAT coming!) it goes to the House to choose a new President. The House is pretty D at this point(remember, it doesn't matter what happens in November it is "hung" because the House would decide before it changed over). Boom, Biden is President. If he doesn't want to give up power? Doesn't matter, come January 21st he is out the door on his ass as completely outlined by a constitutional amendment(iirc the 21st)

Let them eat cupcakes

Why would any party object to opening the voting to more people and giving everyone the option to mail in.

What angle are they expecting us to believe?

If anyone thinks this is anything but preventing people from voting then they have already drank the kool-aid.

Which is hilarious all of this is being said during a pandemic. It's supposed to be about keeping people safe from the risk of covid.

What does someone choosing to queue for cupcakes got anything to do with it. They are knowingly putting themselves at risk for baked goods. Standing in line to vote shouldn't be risky.

The irony of Trump attacking twitter via twitter is a new absurdity. Would he even got to be President if it weren’t for twitter ?

but it does seem like bullying social media not to undermine his lies and messages to his supporters and try and keep his election bid on track.

Reading that Biden has a 10-point lead nationally in recent polls but I don’t live in the USA so I can’t say what the feeling is with that but this next election will be very interesting and entertaining to say the least.

I do hope for the US’s sake they vote the right man in

Not for nothing, thats generally the last thing an election should be..

Unfortunately, this isn’t quite how it works. The election would indeed go to The House, but each state delegation only gets one vote. As of now, Republicans hold the majority of Representatives in 26 states. Democrats have 22, and two states are an even split. So Trump would almost certainly win any hypothetical tiebreaker.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it half the electoral votes of those that send them or something like that? So if a bunch of states decided not to vote, say Florida, Texas, Alabama, Mississippi for example, the number of electoral votes needed would drop and Biden would in that scenario be almost assured of winning?

It says a lot that three relatively plugged in people have to actively discuss how an election can be won. Couldn't possibly just require the most votes.

This is the tie-breaking procedure, which is the only scenario I've ever heard discussed that involved someone not getting a majority of electoral votes. Not certain if it holds true if some states were to withhold their votes (not sure that's even possible/legal) or if a third party candidate wins electoral votes (almost inconceivable).
