Current Affairs Donald Trump POS: Judgement cometh and that right soon

Difficult to know how to feel about that - I mean Fauci appears to be a man who knows his stuff, communicates well, sticks with what must be a very trying situation so he can help others and acknowledges faults and known flaws in the system. If there is anyone over there that you’d say people could have confidence in then it’s him, and getting rid of him for a flunky will probably cost thousands of people their lives.

On the other hand sacking him now for acknowledging those faults - followed by the smear campaign that you’d think will follow from the usual sources - is such a Trump thing to do right now that feeling upset about it is a waste of effort. If that doesn’t make people realise what is going on then nothing will.

What an amazing leap though, in hearts and minds in America, to drop Obama and land yourself with Trump. :(
It’s a big ideological swing, but not all that uncommon for America. In the last 100 years, only once has a President been elected to two terms and then succeeded by a member of his own party. People tend to get tired of the status quo and start looking for something different after almost a decade.

On one hand, it would have grim implications for the US if the one decent part of their response was fired. On a personal level, Fauci is almost 80 and way too old and accomplished to be putting up with the big orange baby's nonsense, part of him might be relieved to get out of the clowncar

Even putting ideology aside, the difference in terms of competence, intelligence, knowledge, intellectual curiosity, gravitas and comportment is just almost impossible to grapple with.

Like you, the last thing, you'd think Trump would do would be to start turning on one of his most trusted lieutenants. Just goes to show, Trump will walk over anyone, to retain popularity. The only thing with Trump during this pandemic, that has stood out is his rank stupidity, Faucci has been his crutch, the lone voice of reason, feel America will pay for this, if it comes to pass and I hope I'm wrong.

This is more a general comment than aimed specifically at you mate, but the only way anyone would think “the last thing Trump would do would be to start turning on one of his most trusted lieutenants” is if they haven’t been paying attention for the last 39 months.

Actually, come to think of it, that's all he does ! What I should have said, was during this pandemic. My bad, your right of course. ;)

Remind me again who was President in March and April ? lol

Its just Fox's version of going to the gym, getting a haircut, buying flowers every day and generally showing what a loyal husband they are long after its become clear that Mrs. Fox News is banging the milkman (or in this case conspiraloon).

It's awfully lucky that Dr Fauci walks a higher path than the dumb hayseeds that vote trump, he clearly takes his profession and obligations very seriously and puts them before ego. When he is thrown under the bus once this is over I hope he knows just how many appreciate his tireless work and the calming effect the multitude of interviews he is still undertaking gives
