He is a cretin. Look up his record and views toffy. Also if you knew anything about politics or the US you would know its easy to switch allegiance its not as if you have to take a test or anything. Just because on paper it says he's a Democrat means nothing. He only did that because the other Sheriff he ran against was a popular conservative. So he switched to get votes to beat him. That is quite common here. But again seen as you are clueless.
The fact that you continue to defend the indefensible tells it all. Love how there seems to be only two Australians who are Trump fan boys with the exact same stance who post in here. One was already banned for being a bad egg. Continue pal you will slip eventually.

Not just that. Obviously it could sink him for good, but he has to have an economic bounce back. That's why it didn't really make sense to try and fight this. Had he started the process of shutting everything down early he could have had an entire 3rd quarter where things were back to normal. Now it looks unlikely that we will be in anything but recession come November and that could hurt him bad.
