Bush Jr delegated it to dangerous neo-cons like Cheney & Rumsfeld. It was a terrible time for global politics, and especially for Arab relations. I'm slightly optimistic that Trump's administration won't be as damaging, it all depends if Trump will seriously follow his stated intention to work with Russia and to no longer seek regime changes in Arab lands.

Not too dissimilar to Trumps tweets after Obama was elected then really. He claimed that election was a 'great injustice' and 'we should march on Washington and stop this travesty' because he 'lost the public vote and won the election'. Bit of a hypocrit really, isn't he?
