Current Affairs Donald Trump POS: Judgement cometh and that right soon

It is very scary that military leaders haven't yet grasped that Trump doesn't make rational, thoughtful decisions nor understand consequences.

You know that scene in the West Wing where Bartlett is presented with all the "proportional responses" and asks them to come back with something more draconinan? Where it is then explained, along with the draconian options, that taking a proportional response makes more sense because you escalate gradually and don't take the big stuff off the table in case you need it later?

This is exactly that scenario minus a rational actor.

So now you've jumped to legality, when previously you were focusing on the possibility of backlash from "nuclear power" Pakistan. THAT is why I raised the point of Bin Laden's nationality (or lack thereof, since he had been Stateless for years before his death)

Oh and re: the legality of making the incursion into Pakistan... There is an exception to sovereignty in international law for situations in which a government is unwilling/unable to stop a threat to others emanating from its soil. In that case there was significant concern that the Pakistani intelligence services had either signed off on Bin Laden's presence or were liable to leak the plans to him. Pakistan was notified of the operation once the black hawks (if memory serves) cleared their air space.

I'm not interested in the legalities. I just wanted you to answer the question, so I could have a good time torturing your self-righteous liberal politics with them. Also why would I want or be interested in their being a backlash from Pakistan? I'm thrilled Bin Laden is dead and couldn't care less what Pakistan thinks. The reason I am discussing Pakistan and Bin Laden is because we have the same situation, but for the liberals: If Obama actions it = good. If Trump actions it = bad.

Trying to rationalise that Pakistan operation is a joke while simultaneously criticising Trump taking out the worlds most wanted.

You realise there is a slight difference between killing a non-state actor who had committed numerous open acts of war against the US, over a span of a couple of decades, who was hiding under the semi official protection of a near failed state and killing one of the most powerful figures in the apparatus of state a large strategically important rival, yes?

So you are rationalising the Pakistan operation while simultaneously criticising Trump's destruction of terrorists. Good to know that liberals willingly invent rules to protect terrorists.

You think Trump is a clown. You are a bleeding heart liberal. The world is literally this simple.
Why have you taken things to heart, young man? All I said is that if Trumps actions are wrong, why did these same people complaining say nothing when Obama took out Bin Laden? People these days love to rush to judgment without thinking things through. I fully support Trump's action AND I fully supported Obama's action.

Because one is a non-state actor with a handful of maniacs living in caves as his backup.

The other was one of the most powerful men in a strategically important country commanding one of the largest professional militaries in the world. His back up is said military and Putin.

One may require a little more forethought and motivation than the other. The major problem in knocking off Bin Laden was finding him. The main problem in this situation is keeping a lid on the fall out. When your own professional and experienced diplomats are left banging their heads off the desk, it's probably a bad move.

I will say no more and let you reflect on that for a couple of days...
