Still kinda crazy that this border crisis is suddenly a priority even though Trump had Republican control for two years prior.

This fabricated crisis is so blantantly transparent.

So true if it were really about national security and terrorism then why has nobody mentioned the fact the border with Canada has little or no fencing and far less security.

Does anyone really think terrorist would make a hefty trek through tough territories and on rough terrain to a well protected border (fence and INS/homeland officers)

When they could easily fly in legally anywhere in the US or better yet fly into Canada and simply walk over the border in those states that have flat land and fields with a small fence or no fence at all.

or they could legally cross the border from Canada.

This is not a real thing and if the GOP had balls they would fight Trump on this and tell him to get on with it and focus on other things they can possibly pass.

They have been an utter shambles in the last two years.

Remember when the GOP spent the better part of a decade repeating ad nauseum 'repeal and replace'.

Now it's a sudden border 'crisis'. If the border was a true crisis situation, building a wall that would take years (decades?) to complete would be the absolute stupidist way to handle said 'crisis'.

Maybe what is needed that will suit both sides is if those people in the next caravan approaching the USA put their hands up to help build the wall in exchange for asylum.

That way Trump gets his border wall and the Democrats win by only having to consent to paying $1 dollar for border security which should roughly cover labour costs.

This is wrong on so many levels. If you are saying they will work for free just to get a visa or get their asylum.

What is wrong with you? Trust an Australian to mention abusing asylum seekers.

First of all that would be slave labor and i am pretty sure their are laws against doing something like that.

It would be inhumane and actually black mail.

Also do you think the actual labor is what is making the cost of the wall 5 billion?

His 'job' according to him, was to build a wall and get Mexico to pay for it.

I suspect Trumps 'do the job properly' means: stir up enough hatred and fear that you get elected so you can massively profiteer from building a wall.
