Patriotism and such ideals are never that far apart in my opinion, rabid patriots are as dangerous and deluded as religious fanatics

I don't think there's anything too wrong with patriotism... it's when it veers into nationalism that it becomes a problem
I agree, and there is little wrong with religion in its most passive form, but both have always been used cynically by men of power to have others do their bidding
Trump was given the codes to the steam engines that go whrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. They make a great big sound. He is impressed.
