See what I mean? Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours, Abe.
Another day. We won't fix it here. More pie?
happy thanksgiving to you!
as a non-American though, I have nothing to be thankful for ; )

Trump busting through that "blue wall" is such a shock to democratic party that this was expected. Let them twitch before the inevitable.
tbh i sorta wanna see how badly he does now, blue collar voters need to realise he is NOT on their side...(not that clinton was, but trump is no friend of theirs..)
Most enjoyable part for me was where the crowd laughed at gorgeous Ann Coulter. She truly got the last laugh.
She has witz alrightThere's a bit after that where she said she was more worried about Sanders getting the nomination because he'd probably tie up Ohio, Wisconsin etc. Incredible foresight
I tell you the reason I think it was a shock to some (not me) and your 'blue wall' got busted.
most of that 'blue wall' are/were for want of a better word - workers, not management, well maybe lowest tier management, what used to be called foremen/women. Now they might be called 'team leaders'.
They are mostly, except the odd box standing red flag waving zealot, innately conservative with a small 'c'. They voted what used to be called 'Labour' they were in the Union, but not active members - your red flag wavers.
Now Labour 'used' to be the party of the 'underprivileged' and they were all members of that 'underprivileged majority' and for the most part they were by default/geography etc. white.
Short version Labour= underprivileged workers
But with the growth of 'Prosperity' and the decline of traditional 'Factory Jobs' Labour had to change it's numbers base. So, being the party of the underprivileged, they had to look around for who else was underprivileged. Early on it was the women who were increasingly coming into the Factory workforce. But with job shrinkage that was short lived.
So who else? Immigrants - millions of them (or so it seemed) from all over - unemployed Immigrants, Immigrants working in low paid jobs, plus anybody else they could rope in and cry, Vote for Us - we're the party for you.
Q) So who had as their main 'Concern' the now, perceiving themselves rightly or wrongly, marginalised. The mainly conservative with a small 'c' poor but relatively - compared to 60+yrs ago well off, traditional worker, be she/he unemployed, redundant or if they're 'lucky' still working?
A) Absolutely no 'kin one.
Reagan tapped into it
Trump resonated with it
Brexit Brexited on the back of it.
Lived it, seen it, got the redundancy slip(s) to prove it
Left 20yrs ago to do something about it...it's slowly followed me, but it can't touch me now...I'm not 'minted' but I have a certain amount of paper banknote insulation.
Just sayin like.
Did that green party weapon file that request of recount in time? One state ( was it wisconsin) deadline day was today
How elegantly put...
But in answer to your question, the deadlines/fees for the states in question are:
And as they've raised over $4.5m it looks like they'll demand recounts in all three states. Which is brilliant. I might actually contribute more
- Wisconsin: $1.1 million by Nov 25
- Pennsylvania: $0.5 million by Nov 28
- Michigan: $0.6 million by Nov 30
You'll probably see some faithless electors but it would take nearly 40 to change the outcomereading electoral college votes in december can change the result of the election or something as they cast their vote on 19th December
Full of crap or is that anywhere near truth?
Michelle Rhee would have been a better choice. I worked in education policy for about 10 years and it's hard not to be cynical when it comes to inner city schools. It's clear what we are doing isn't working. Only options to really help all of those students is either pursue the French model or expand school choice
