Had to look that up, I don't watch that show. That said, maybe, but I don't know that Trump's crew have enough backbone for a concerted effort. Those rats will jump ship when they realize it's going down.

Numerous articles (BBC, Vox etc) have said there is no way the FEC will rule on the complaint until after 2020 due to a backlog and that the most likely outcome is a fine.
Going to be important to find out what immunity they have been granted and what topics it covers -might just be testimony on Cohen for instance.
Although if you are worried enough about your own exposure to co-operate on one item it suggests that you could well be persuaded on other matters/people.
The president does not have to be indicted or even guilty of a crime to be impeached.
The House looks at the evidence and adjudicates on their own. Impeachment has nothing to do with criminal or civil law.

Ok but the republicans have control of the house at the moment don’t they ? and they would have to lose control in the mid terms to surely stand any chance of impeachment ? Unless they suddenly get a conscience ?
As impeachment is purely a political act, with what is currently public knowledge, the Republican led House will not put forth articles of impeachment even if Trump is guilty of some crimes.
I'm honestly scared to think about what it would take to get them to impeach.

Perhaps unlike the rest of us she has seen his individual and company tax records so knows he can’t be convicted of the same fraud as caught Capone. Although given he’s out praising a massive tax cheat like Manafort and is on the record saying the paying zero federal taxes “makes me smart” I think she’s a tad optimistic he has no exposure.
Still amazing though that the first comparison she comes up with is Capone - you’d think if you wanted to defend someone you’d come up with a person who was innocent and not a violent crook who throughly deserved to be convicted.

Surely if Trump is arrested and charged with numerous crimes they’ll be forced to impeach or face a constitutional crisis?
