Aye, from reading the charging documents it looks like they got all the proof they needed with the raid on his office, along with flipping Pecker. Cohen has certainly been desperately keen to make such a deal and his lawyer has been all over tv trying to get one. he didn't declare that money. So, he intentionally falsified his accounts to cover up spending money to silence a porn star he had slept with as well as another lady who he had an affair with 6 months after his son was born, in order to influence the outcome of a federal election. Cohen will have provided concrete evidence of this.
I'm not fully sure how an impeachment trial works but I would imagine his own financial records will be laid bare as well as those of his family and his business. This is where countless links will be found to what Mueller is working on. So even if the AG is changed and the special investigation is shut down, impeachment will unlock the doors to way more than campaign finance irregularities.
Seems to me like he's panicking as he's landed himself, his sons, his daughter and his son inlaw in big trouble.
He's likely to start doing really stupid stuff now and the pressure of the midterms is only starting!
