Tbf it probably beats the post-Administration advertising for the Ritz Carlton Moscow hotel ;)
You know, I needed this laugh.....

My MLS team had their keeper, Tim Howard, sent off in the first half (and rightly so),
It's a Saturday night,
My family is out of town at the cabin, so it's just me and the dog tonight,
and I'm watching the Rapids and working on a spreadsheet for a new project.

An hour or so more on the spreadsheet, it will be done, and then I can have a cocktail.

So, I definitely needed this laugh.

This tweet stream really made me laugh. Habermann’s sources are so good that I’m pretty sure she has a sleeping bag set up in the Oval.

It’s also been pretty well established that Trump has called her directly on multiple occasions.
nearly read that the wrong way....lollol

It’s more a point that he’s golfing yet again. The fat waster.

Probably an understandable thing for any president to do given all the extra security it means and the shift in focus from the deceased - this one was already likely a bit of a headache for the Secret Service given the four previous presidents in attendance.

This would have also played a part

Which is quite a statement given he is the Republican president.

I am generally highly critical of Trump, but won't be for this. He did what was on his agenda for the day, just as Obama did for Nancy Reagan, which included fundraising events.

I will be critical that golf and spending tax payer money on self promotion was once again on his agenda, but not for him following it as I wasn't critical of Obama at the time. I refuse to let my dislike of Trump take me to his and his followers hypocritical level...or at least I'm trying.

As far as the Bush family not wanting him there..while I can fully see Barbara Bush saying don't let that SOB come to my funeral, I think it equally likely the family just not wanting her funeral to be more of a media circus than it already was going to be.

By all accounts, Mrs Bush thought he was a fairly despicable excuse for a human being.

Shrewd judge of character that one.

She was, and her assessment was correct.

However (and I have no wish to speak ill of the dead or to suggest that she bears responsibility for what her son did) lets not forget who her son was, what he did and what he legitimized. In fact, nothing Trump has done so far is as bad as what Bush II did in 2000.

Yes, but much like the sins of the father shouldn’t be visited on the son, I’m not sure how much the sins of the son should be visited on the mother either.

Bush II, for better or worse, thought he was doing the right thing.

Same can't be said for this cartoon character in office

They shouldn't, but when your kids do what Bush II did then you really shouldn't have a pop at someone elses.
