There both horrible. We'll deal with what happens tomorrow and just try again in 4 years hoping every day whoever wins doesn't do something incredibly stupid.

Picture's Sarah Palin in cheerleader s uniform knickerless chanting that for some reason.
Got a bit of a thing for her

I'm not sure what you see in her tbh...........I would though.....

Game Over for Trump. Florida is all but a lock down for Clinton. Here's how.

In 2012 4.8M early votes were cast - and, extrapolating the Ethnic breakdown that gave Obama a lead of approximately 330,000 over Romney. With an increase of 33% in early voting the Ethnic breakdown suggests Clinton will have a lead of around 450,000. With around 2.7-3.0M votes still to be cast the prospect of Trump making that up requires nearly 60% of those voting tomorrow to vote Trump.

Whilst it can be dangerous to assume the ethnic vote will split roughly the same as 2012 it's hard to imagine Trump improving his share of the non-white vote. The number of early non-white votes has increased by 50% from 1.5M to 2.25M that surely can't be good for Trump.

6.4M votes have been cast (4.8M in 2012) and an electorate of 12.5M (11.9M 2012). With a turnout of 72% in 2012 - even assuming that that increases to 75% in 2016 (unlikely) that leaves only around 3M to vote.

White voters account for 72% of those who vote (so, approximately 2.5M of the remainder. It seems the non-White vote has got out early. (The threat of voter intimidation affecting the result will reduce).

I think it's all but over for Trump in Florida.

Unfortunately the Supreme Court is riding on this election.

So for me Trump could do irreparable damage if elected.
At least the appointments still have to be approved by the Senate. So there's that. You're absolutely correct though, the 3-4 Justice appointments are likely to be the longest lasting mark whoever is elected will leave. Crazy that that topic didn't get more coverage during those dumpster fires they called debates.

It is one thing to read them, but it is another to accept that what they tell you is all the news fit to print.

I find myself neither aligned with left nor right, but I find that those on the right can lucidly explain positions accurately from their perspective as well as the left's perspective, as the left's position is ubiquitous and the accepted norm. From those on the left I only hear that the only reason they are ever opposed is due to racism and greed. If you doubt me, just read this thread again from the start.

The peak of this was the execrable "strange fruit" picture thrown into the fray from the least likely source I would imagine. This shook me, and I am still offended and deeply hurt by the inference of that photograph. In the best of all possible worlds, someday I will receive an apology for that. Until then, this person is dead to me.

Don't confuse Breitbart the site with Breitbart the man. Like me, he was once a dissolute man of the left, and like me, he reconsidered the eventual result of what he was advocating. How I wish he had lived much longer.

Hmm.. I must have missed the photo.

Fair enough mate, although to deny that greed, or more seriously, virulent racism, is at least part of what's fueling Trump is... charitably, disingenuous. Not that I'm accusing anyone!

What positions do you hold that keep you from being aligned with the right? What was the eventual result of what you were advocating? Not to pry... just curious. I've been in a swing state for several months but have only met one obvious conservative. American geography is... perplexing.

Yup. Cruz hit him pretty hard on SC appointments during one of the Republican debates

You'd have to ask a conservative. I'm a libertarian who sees Clinton as by far the greater threat. I was a Democrat for nigh onto thirty years, but the nexus of press, popular culture, corruption and machine politics that was on display through the Clinton administration finally made me leave in disgust. Neither party can garner much credit for a dedication to Constitutional government. My most respected American at present is Clarence Thomas, for example. What I fear most from Clinton is how she will deepen and institutionalize an expanded and more restrictive role for government in society, and move us even farther from the balance our founding fathers intended. These are the kinds of issues that led to the original American Revolution.

The tools of control are more powerful than they have ever been. This Trump thing is no accident.

My registration is R only for strategic purposes - Democratic candidates are entirely machine driven, and I can use my vote to try to select the best alternative in a genuine primary process on the GOP side. Mind you, I don't expect anyone here to be able to drill down and understand what I mean by any of this, but that a thumbnail sketch. One of my oldest friends was in the Florida legislature some years ago, and I've watching this mess fester for well over forty years. It's just rotten.
