I've long since forgotten if Hillary ever said anything about policy and what she actually intended to do if she won.

If she says "deal....me....in" one more time I will be screaming.

But that is typical of US campaigns in the final week.

Anyone who was going to be persuaded by a speech on say trade or childcare policy would have made their decision from the party conferences, the debates or can look it up online. There is little upside in either candidadate spending significant time announcing a new policy, they would lose the attention of anybody not interested in that particular issue.

The candidates spend the time close to the election motivating their base and warning of dire consequences if their opponents are elected - they leave their ground staff to contact voters either in person or phone to address policy issues on an individual basis.

It's funny though when you actually do research on the two candidate's stances on issues/policy. She has a stance/policy on everything, whereas Trump has no public stance/policy/idea on so many things.

His Obamacare replacement is basiscally "we'll cancel it in some unspecified manner and then introduce a new scheme that will be so wonderful, trust me".

Even the one that he is known for "build a wall and get Mexico to pay for it" has morphed into "we'll build bits of it and later try and find a way to charge it to Mexico".
