This election is only the beginning.
If (when) Hilary wins, the country will be ungovernable if she doesn't take the Senate too. Republicans have already made it clear that they won't approve anyone for Supreme Court during her Presidency. Next summer will see another vote on the debt ceiling, and given the prevailing atmosphere, this could well be the moment when the inmates take over the asylum for good, and refuse to allow the government to function. There will be significant incentive to avoid any hint of cooperation, in order to stay competitive in America's comically rigged Congressional districts, where a Party that wins 1.4 million more votes than the other ends up with 33 fewer seats.

The Republican Party is a self-fulfilling prophecy - the worse they make government services and performances, the angrier people get about government, and the more Republican Party messaging appeals to its duller voters - that is, those who subsidize tax cuts for George Soros and the Clintons, and who live in toxic waste dumps because they've foolishly surrendered their rights and protections.

Voting Republican is like smashing your computer really hard because it doesn't run as quickly as it used to. It might make you feel better in the short-term, but it only makes the computer less effective. There are dozens of examples around the world of better ways to run countries, but provincialism, wounded pride, and delusional nationalist machismo preclude any of these from being taken seriously by America's angry white men, much to the benefit of the elites who Trump voters think they are defying.
