It's a very sorry state of affairs arguing who's worse.

I actually dont think he's got an ideal in him - beyond making money. He's a massive ego who just wants to tick off the box "U.S. President" from his lifetime goals list. He'd delegate everything and go round the world opening up new Trump Towers for four years.
Trump will win.
You can't see a difference between a drone strike that subsequently kills civilians and advocating 'taking out ' terrorists families ? Or supporting the Saudis and strenuously recommending water boarding , to use Trump's words
-Trump told supporters: “Would I approve waterboarding? You bet your ass I would. In a heartbeat. I would approve more than that. It works.” The Republican frontrunner then added “… and if it doesn’t work, they deserve it anyway for what they do to us”.-
You don't see a difference in those two things ? Whether killed because they're targeted deliberately or not civilians are still dead I get that but for a Presidential candidate it to advocate murdering families or what is torture for tortures sake is surely horrifying to any right minded person .
Let's face it this is what Trump says at a presidential rally so what would he be saying in a conference room when planning his strategy.
It is this kind of thinking that leaves the West so popular in the Muslim world. Yes, there is a difference between targeting the families of terrorists and pretending that civilians are accidentally killed in carefully targeted drone strikes. The first is more honest.
No I'm sorry one is the reality of war and one is a war crime unbecoming of a civilised society .
It is a reality of war that we accidentally kill some people intentionally?
No I'm sorry one is the reality of war and one is a war crime unbecoming of a civilised society .
When USA bombed the hell out of Baghdad, was that becoming of a civilised society?....if they use drones now, in the full knowledge that they will kill thousands of innocent civilians, is that becoming of a civilised society?....
All wars are sold to the public as Good guys against Bad guys....it helps us all turn a blind eye to it....sure as hell doesn't mean the 'Good guys' (typically the rich powerful nation) don't do some horrible civilised things....
Of course, these actions are "the reality of war" whilst the retaliation is an act of terrorism....
Of course . War is terrible and horrific , do you think there are never accidental (that's a terrible word for what we're discussing actually ) casualties ?
The test of a civilised society is that it does all it can to avoid such untargeted or unintentional fatalities rather than, like Trump , set it as a goal .
This is the point, though. Civilians are killed either way, but to argue that one way is better / more moral just because you claim that didn't intend to kill them whilst intending to kill someone else is absurd. It is akin to the Saudi's claiming that their strike on that funeral was a mistake because their target wasn't there.
The test of a civilized society is that it does things, especially use of deadly force, that are fair, proportionate and are subject to legal scrutiny and challenge. I haven't seen any evidence that drone strikes are.
