Still beleive he is finished at this level. Suppose where he ends up will confirm, wether he has been coasting down his contract or is genuinely crocked for EPL or similar.

Not even close to being the worst. He’s pretty close to big Duncs scoring record too I think, who some strangely consider to be a club legend 🤷‍♂️.
Seen this has been doing the rounds with the kopites. Anyone who watched us in the 90s and Ferguson's first spell with us understands why he's regarded differently than DCL.

Never mind the fact that they shipped out their own "God" after he was injured.

Thats not exclusive to calvert lewin. As a world weve crossed the line now with online stuff and trolls. For everyone. Just look at posts from fabrizio ramano about any player and there are so many replies underneath from idiots. This thread is 99.9% Everton fans. I keep getting told he gets stick from Evertonians on GOT. Most of the stuff i read is all about his inability to put the ball in the net. Odd stupid comment but it is the odd comment.
Now got one fella telling me he got stick at a game. It was a one off at Villa park when fans got it wrong because they thought he'd picked up a nothing knock. Very isolated. If Everton fans had a real issue with him in terms of "hate" he'd be let known at Goodison over the past few years. Hasnt happened.
He hasnt bonded with Evertonians like others have in the past thats for sure. Ive got my own opinions on why. One being his best ever spell for the club(3 months) was in front of empty Goodison.
But this theory that he's hated is drama queen stuff. Not rated is being replaced by hate by a few who want to push that narrative. Every Everton fan i know isnt bothered by him in the slightest. They just want a centre forward who'll bag more than 5 or 6 a season.
There’s a minority, but quite a vocal minority that act as if it’s only about his footballing ability and then throw in supposed jokey comments about other aspects of his life. You only have to look at how many pages he has, and if you went back, you would see the amount of times it’s got derailed because of it. It’s also been locked a few times.

It’s not just an odd comment here and there, it is more frequent than that. And once people have set their stall, it’s easy to see through them when they then try to continue posting without the comments. Some just have a strange hatred.

I don’t believe he gets it in the ground apart from being wrongly booed at villa. But people risk stadium bans for being bigoted bells at a match which is quite a strong deterrent.

There is a minority. Bigoted/frustrated. Its no excuse. But the fella on here yesterday now claiming a large section of this clubs fanbase abuse him isnt true. If it was he needs to explain why the large percentage of this fanbase have been gathered at Goodison Park for years and i cant recall any mass abuse of him at home games.
Have i ever stood directly in front of an Everton fan and listened to hate towards him. Nope. Have i ever read on twitter someone with a Homer Simpson profile pic having a cheap shot at him. Yep.
We need to get used to it. Its not going away. Anyone in the public eye is going to get it because human beings will always have enough morons crawling out from under that rock.
Best way to deal with it imo is take with a pinch of salt all social media stuff.

Ah, just like how Kenwright was loved by everyone, then? That's what was visible at Goodison after all.

I'd like to agree but shockingly, nearly every Everton fan I know locally, conversely/sadly, makes very interesting comments about him at every possibility, even when he scores - the goal vs Tottenham was "because he's used to being a ballerina" or some daft comment like that. This thread has been locked/barred for the exact same reason you're saying isn't a thing, as it just kept happening.

He's bagged more than 5 or 6 a season and the narrative has been his injury list as apparently he's played no more than 4 games a year, or his goals, which are 1 every 50 games (paradoxically related to his injury time) - both of which aren't true.

Because Dyche loved parroting xG when it was favourable to his own narrative - DCL's xG under Dyche (in the Prem) was 8.3, he scored 7 goals. So as expected. Doucoure who was "more prolific" and we played entirely for him for a majority of the season is on the same amount with the same xG, almost as if it wasn't a player issue.

Average player, who had the amazing pleasure of playing for a team aiming to score 0 and concede 0 if possible in 38 games, for quite a big chunk of a very crap couple of seasons. Literally no forward was going to score loads of goals for a Dyche team set up to not go forward. He'll probably go and be average-to-decent somewhere else, if he goes abroad he'll probably get to double digits easily, he's got the physicals for it. Still think he'd do well in a Moyes team, but then any coach should know how to get the best out of him.

What would make you think there’s a chance he’s not been ‘genuinely crocked?’

You think there’s a chance he’s been faking his horrific injury record?
Crocked as in no longer fit for top level football. Times he has played in last couple of years he looks half the player he was. He has stated he was over injuries and fittest he has ever been, yet sill he looked half arsed to me in the periods he has played. So where he ends up, will confirm for me at least whether Everton have actually had the best of him over the last couple of years.

In the last 3 seasons. Its easy to check the stats. He's started 60 games and scored 10 goals from open play. And 2 pens.
Breakdown of goals.
2 in 2023
5 in 2024
3 in 2025.
Its not good enough for the club.
But this has now run its course. He's gone. I wish him well wherever he rocks up. He needs to show more hunger for where that is imo. And no matter what anyone says i think Everton fans in the main have showed the patience of a saint with him for 5 years. Theres certainly a few clubs i can think of that just simply wouldnt have tolerated the stats i just posted above. Not a chance

I agree.

However where I disagree is taking it with a pinch of salt if it’s on somewhere like this forum.

On twitter, yes, and I don’t use twitter because it’s full of it now. It’s just a right wing hangout since musk took over.

You didnt even get the ground right lol. It wasnt Goodison park.
You're trying to paint this picture of the Everton fanbase with pitch forks chasing him out of town.
Bit of a drama queen.
Apologies, you're right. My memory failed me. Imagine travelling to Villa and booing your striker when he breaks his cheekbone challenging for the ball. There's no 'context' that makes that acceptable.

Nobody knew it. So for 20 seconds or so a frustrated fanbase got it wrong. But you're jumping all over the isolated incident with crap like there is a large section of Evertons fanbase who abuse him.
Why if thats the case does it not happen every other week where this large section congregate. Goodison park.
