Don't bring a knife to a gun fight mate. There are dozens of bigoted comments on here and all over social media. Just claiming there aren't doesn't change what's there in black and white
Is there a reason don't you post/respond to the dozens of bigoted comments instead of just referencing them?

I luuuurrvve it when you pluck numbers out of your arse to try and justify your position.
You literally plucked numbers out of the air when saying a large section of our fanbase then said it was dozens. When we have millions of fans.

Well done you lied and attacked a large section of our fanbase. I know a large section of us can be right moaning gits but the club does it to us. But a large section are most certainly not bigoted. Best fans in the country imo.

Not responding to your nonsense anymore. Have a good one.

For those thinking DCL on a free, will struggle to get a contract worth in the region of £120k per week, here what a few of his peers are costing their clubs according to the usual sources:
Solanke (27) - £90k/w 6 year contract £55m fee = £349k per week.
Danny Ings (32) - £125k/w 2.5 year contract £12m fee = £217k per week.
Chris Wood (33) £80k/w 2y contract (after loan) £12m fee = £195k per week.
Beto (27) - £53k/w 4y contract £25m fee = £177k per week.
Can’t even be bothered doing it for the like of Hojlund (4 goals-£72m) , Zirkzee (3 goals-£34m), Nunez 6 goals-£65m)

Personally I don’t think he will struggle, but I’m sure the wage rumours will start leaking soon enough.
Dude, you can't just conflate salary and transfer fee as if they're the same thing.

Nice lad, represented us extremely well, but missed far too many games and his chance conversion rate has been appalling in recent seasons. Would you back him to score more than about 2-3 from 10 one-on-ones? Nowhere near good enough where it counted in front of goal. A move away works for everybody.

Now let's bring in proper number 9.

Well unfortunately Mark you are probably looking at him, because he's miles better than your 80m and 40m alternatives. So they would be foolish not to explore it.
If he stays in the league, then it will be one of the teams who will have to take some risks to stay up so perfect for them.

Rumours are that he wants a wage equivalent to 4 cleaners per week.

I mean you can also log onto any social media, go under any of his posts (or posts with him in it) and see that the percentage isn't so low, but yeah, you do you.

I'm a part of the local Everton fan club and the comments have been mostly, if not (sadly) entirely, bigoted nonsense.

But yeah, let's move on, it's best for both club and player. Wish him luck, he gave his all for us, even if at times he was frustrating or out of form.

Thats not exclusive to calvert lewin. As a world weve crossed the line now with online stuff and trolls. For everyone. Just look at posts from fabrizio ramano about any player and there are so many replies underneath from idiots. This thread is 99.9% Everton fans. I keep getting told he gets stick from Evertonians on GOT. Most of the stuff i read is all about his inability to put the ball in the net. Odd stupid comment but it is the odd comment.
Now got one fella telling me he got stick at a game. It was a one off at Villa park when fans got it wrong because they thought he'd picked up a nothing knock. Very isolated. If Everton fans had a real issue with him in terms of "hate" he'd be let known at Goodison over the past few years. Hasnt happened.
He hasnt bonded with Evertonians like others have in the past thats for sure. Ive got my own opinions on why. One being his best ever spell for the club(3 months) was in front of empty Goodison.
But this theory that he's hated is drama queen stuff. Not rated is being replaced by hate by a few who want to push that narrative. Every Everton fan i know isnt bothered by him in the slightest. They just want a centre forward who'll bag more than 5 or 6 a season.
