2024/25 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Why don’t we just stick to discussing his crap footballing ability lads.
It seems impossible. Not his fault, but he just attracts mental health and women's fashion experts like bees to honey. Can you imagine any other player who could have such a boring thread?

That's reason enough to get rid of him, not to mention his inability to score goals.

This is a football forum not a mental health one. Simple football analogy is 9 seasons - not enough goals - to many injuries - wanted 150k a week though based on that. No takers so now open to re negotiate - real simple one for me - bye bye and best of luck for the future !
I mean, both are true. Literally the only pinned post is about mental health.

If DCL didn't have such a terrible injury record in recent seasons then I think there certainly would be a scramble for his signature.

He will never be a prolific striker but is a very good player and is a big influence in a team. I think DM would be very anxious to keep him and use in rotation with Beto. As I said earlier every day we hear nothing makes it more likely he will stay, same for Gana and Keane.

I suppose the club is weighing up his market value if they were to give him a new contract. What is financially better?....let him go on a free now or give him his 80k a week and hope he knocks in a few and becomes worth 20m?

Hope is not a strategy. He is what he is and what he is sadly isn’t good enough if we want to progress. I don’t know why it’s even a debate. He’s had literally hundreds of chances to prove he’s good enough to progress the team. He just isn’t.
