2024/25 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

I can't blame him for wanting to stay when he's failed to provide any decent level of goalscoring for years, we are his best option after yet another year of failing to score goals and maintain fitness.

I also can't picture any other team in this league giving the same amount of wages out to someone who hasn't hit double figures in years and has 17 goals in four seasons. I wouldn't be surprised if we are the best offer on the table.

Teams higher up the assets league than us are interested. He does an enormous amount other than the goals, and we have seen with a decent manager he scores too. So it makes sense. Let's see where he ends up.

I suspect wherever he ends up, it will be better than us under Dycheball.

OK mate should be an easy decision for him then.

He 100% was offered a contract mate.
He was and walked away from it think has always been an option to talk to the club again esp because dyche gone.

I kno he works for the team but to say he does an enormous amount is a push. Strikers job is to put the ball in the net if he does sign he must improve on that. I dont agree with the offfield abuse and if he does move to a different club he must improve infront of goal his finishing has been poor

I think he used to do a lot more for the team a few years ago, his work rate used to be incredible and went a way to make up for his lack of goals. But in the last year or two I think he plays like someone who is scared of another injury and keeps within himself as a result. Whether thats intentional or not I don't know, but thats how it seems to me.

I do get why esp with contract running down for me is the same as harrison to be doing a job hold up play as striker. To him as a winger working hard tracking back, is the minimum i expect from players. Is a sad state of what we have had to watch when that is the praise players get before actually skill. I want see wingers strikers midfielders getting goals assists next season. If dcl does sign esp under moyes the team looking more creative he must take his chances. If he leaves aswell would thank him for his time here and we move on

Don't really want him to stay tbh. I've defended him in the past, and he can bring something to the team, but what he brings isn't enough if he can't even deliver 10 league goals a season. Y'know, I'd take 10 league goals with his hold up play, because 10 is nothing special anyway, but he's not even been bringing that.

Well I would say he does an enormous amount, our results have been much better with him in.

One of the jobs is to score, but they have other jobs too.

He has also scored a fair amount too, often playing on awful or very defensive teams. Only 2 have scored more in the last 30 years.

Given how many games he’s played for the club I don’t think the number of goals he’s scored in that time is much of an achievement personally
