It'll be the biggest of let downs if this feller is handed another contract.

Surely they wouldn't send out a signal like that about our ambitions going into the new stadium?

This decision is going to be a good barometer reading of what's in store.

One thing this club does well is let downs. Still can`t get over why every chance we get to put ourselves above Spuds and the Mancs we go and drop enough points to stay behind them.

Will be interesting to see who takes him and if it’s as a starter. He’s got injury problems and would presumably want a high wage. Perhaps a team that take him for free for PS&R issues and start him on the bench as a plan B.

I could see Forest wanting him if they move on Awoniyi. Or another outsider who gets Europe as it's just so many more games to play and even established teams with large squads struggle with playing every 3-4 days once they get injuries. Silva rated Iwobi and signed him again and he's been good for Fulham generally so not beyond the realms he'd want DCL as Fulham does seem a good rehabilitation home for players who have had a tough few years in their career.

It is clear coming up to 30 now he needs a fresh start and he and the club knows this so I've already factored him out of the equation for next season. What he could at least do is get fit and score in the final Goodison game as that will be a nice note to leave on for both parties.

Fulham not a bad shout. Similar to what he did with Jimenez.

It's going to play out like in motorbike racing. The leading group going for the win are together before the eventual winner, who was always holding back, turns it on for the last couple of laps to pull away for an easy win.

He is only about 27 .
I have always stuck up for him but his rumoured wage demands and his injury record means it's a no from me.
His goalscoring record doesn't justify the outlay even without the injury side of things.
It's one of those times when I think it's better for the club and player to go there own ways.
When he is fit and on form he is very good but it's not often enough for me.
