I think he’s probably a 10 - 15 goal a season striker if he stays fit. Maybe more towards 15 plus in a good side. Would be nice for him to play a bit more under Moyes and see if he can rejuvenate him but that will be dictated by the contract offer and other offers he receives I guess. I did feel it was time to part ways but that was before Moyes came in and DCL seemed to get a lift.

I do think there are other good strikers out there and it won’t be the end of the world if he goes and we have money to spend.
Agree, I LONG for the day we replace him with a better Striker.

7 years and counting so far.

He scored 13 and 16 league goals, it wasnt just 1 season. then he suffered injuries, then he was held hostage by a footballing terrorist.

Hes an elite Striker and will show it when the shackles are off.
Correct. He was injured after Benetiz rushed him back to try saving his career. By the time he was at any sort of decent fitness again, worm eater was in charge whose apparent coaching techniques for the forwards was to repeatedly shout at them.
Must be gutted to get injured as soon as we have a manager who can set up a team again for the first time in 4 years.

Imagine Dom and Beto up top together under Harry Potter Moyes.

The injuries probably slowed down his projection. He had several major ones so we can agree on that. But that is also another reason why he is too big a risk. He has had several major injuries and hasn't been consistent. If he asks a big fee, I do not think we can afford to take the chance for him to come good.

Sorry just see too many "fans" dissing him, imagine if he comes on here and see's what people say about him if it was me i wouldnt want to stay. him thinking he puts his body on the line and played through injuries for us.
All good mate. I get where you are coming from. As I said to GOAT I am also skeptical of his injury history which would make a big money deal more risky. I think we really need to see if Beto can improve in his role then go from there. We can analyze it at the end of the season.

I've got no problem with beto playing but dont think we should get rid of calvert lewin at all. And too many fans are quick to throw him under the bus

Maybe, but it depends on how the summer pans out. There may be a cheap option available or maybe Chermo turns out to be CR7. There are so many things we cannot determine until the summer. We supposedly have a lot to spend.
