2024/25 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

I'd take Beto all day
So would I. DCL has in the past been our best striker, and he's technically a better footballer than Beto, but as a striker the number one job is to put away those chances. Beto has a shot on him, has proved he can be a real handful for defenders, and more importantly he's been available every time he's needed. Unfortunately Dom's fitness has seen him not play when we've needed him time and time again and he's not put the ball in the net anywhere near as regular as Beto. If we strengthen our attacking options in the summer, Dom could easily find himself 3rd or even 4th choice.

Morning Jimbo

Would you like to see DCL as our main striker next season?
Tough question. Probably my favourite player out of this current batch of misfits. Personally think it’s probably better for all concerned if he moves on though. Not sure if this forum is indicative of the larger fan base but people seem to be willing him to fail.

Seems more like that he is staying after his comments last week. If he does stay you would think he will be back up to a new striker with Beto on his way. The jury remains out on Chermiti.

For all the grief i give him on here i actually like the guy and want him to do well, i just think he is completely unreliable.

Ive seen enough to think his inconsistencies are not what we need.

I’ve been willing him to be good for the last 8 years and that hasn’t turned out too well.

Moyes wouldn’t put Chermiti on as a sub if he didn’t see something you’d think. I dunno. Feel like sometimes with younger players they need to get a lucky break then the confidence starts flowing.

As someone else said, I wouldn’t be too arsed if we sold the entire squad and started again from scratch.

This feels like the ultimate reset summer for the club both in terms of squad and stadium. Hopefully DCL does stay as a very sensible bit of business.

pickford.tarks.obrien,gana,ndyie,charly (maybe) ,myko, doucs (maybe) mcneill

id lash the rest in a rocket to mars

if i could buy a whole new side

I don't think that's the case at all.

He's much better than those, which is why multiple managers and teams want him.
Wonder if his agent has let him know who the “multiple managers and teams are”, and if so which division they are in?
With every day that passes I can see him still being here next season, but it shouldn’t be as our starting no’9! An option off the bench, and on a reduced wage!

Probably PL/top European divisions.

I agree with the rest. Everyone wanted him to sign a contract, well he wants to now, so happy days!
