Made it clear internally that he wanted to move in the Summer and that he can not stand playing for this manager.

So what we did was priced him out of moves all summer, then kept picking him for every game, whilst not giving him anything but hopeful half punts up the pitch for 90minutes.

This is reluctantly the case really.

The reality is though, nobody reallyp wanted him. An offer came in for around 10m on deadline day. With his injury record people just weren't interested. It doesn't sound like Thelwell is massively keen to sign him down either.

If that is true about Thelwell then good on him. For a player that is digressing you don't give a pay rise. We need to move on from him and save just over £5m a year

Doucs - Harrison are more dud than DCL - a club has more chance of coming in for him than those 2 ..... Beto is rumoured to be moving on .... we need 4–5 players in our squad with deadwood making way our full backs are very average as Coleman proved that v City ....
